Gene therapy is rapidly moving from cutting-edge science to real-world clinical practice — and pharmacy departments are at the center of this shift.
Join Melanie Dorey, Mary Nazzal, and Mark St. Marie for an engaging and practical discussion on how gene therapy is reshaping pharmacy operations and responsibilities.

In this session, we will explore:
What gene therapy really is (and what it is not)
How these products are handled, stored, prepared, and dispensed within the pharmacy
The implications for sterile compounding and cleanroom operations
Potential occupational and environmental risks for pharmacy staff
What policies, training, and infrastructure may be needed to safely support these therapies

Whether you work in hospital pharmacy, sterile compounding, leadership, or pharmacy operations, this webinar will provide practical insights to help your department prepare for the growing presence of gene and cell-based therapies.

CCR Review of the DRAFT Canadian Sterile Compounding Model Standard Document
Join Melanie Dorey, Mary Nazzal from Critical Compounding Resources and David Phillips from Con-Test (a BGE company) as they review the newly released draft NAPRA Model Standards for Sterile Compounding, currently open for public comment. This session will highlight key proposed changes, discuss areas of advancement for patient and staff safety, and identify sections where additional clarification or consideration may be beneficial. Participants will gain insight into how the draft standards may impact sterile compounding operations across Canada and receive guidance on considerations when preparing their own public feedback submissions.

CCR is excited to announce our upcoming webinar hosted by Melanie Dorey and Mary Nazzal, discussing the concept of room recovery testing for your cleanrooms.

Have you ever struggled to develop effective downtime procedures for your cleanrooms?
Do you wonder exactly how long your rooms and PECs take to return to a state of control after planned or unplanned interruptions?

Join our expert panel—Mark St. Marie, David Phillips, and Jake Warden—as they break down:
-
What room recovery testing measures and why it matters
-
How it reveals the true performance of your cleanroom and equipment
-
How to use recovery data to design practical, defensible downtime procedures
-
Common pitfalls and what your recovery time really tells you
-
Real examples from certifiers, engineers, and pharmacy operations

This session will give sterile compounding teams the clarity they need to understand how their rooms behave when no one is watching—and how to translate engineering results into safe, compliant workflow decisions.
